P.T. Dinh, OD, MS, IACMM

Dr. Phuong T. Dinh is an experienced and highly skilled optometrist proudly serving the community of Baton Rouge. He moved to the United States with his parents and older sister in 1974 following the Vietnam War and later graduated from Catholic High School. Dr. Dinh continued his education at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree, and went on to complete both his Master of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees at the University of Houston in 2005.

Dr. Dinh provides comprehensive routine and medical eye care, including contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, eye infection management, glaucoma care, and retinal evaluations. He holds advanced certification from the International Academy in Myopia Management and has specialized expertise in orthokeratology (Ortho-K) for myopia control, as well as scleral lens fitting for keratoconus and post–refractive surgery patients. He is known for his thorough, respectful, and patient-centered approach, always striving to deliver individualized care with professionalism and compassion.

Dr. Dinh has also participated in mission work providing essential eye care to underserved communities in Haiti and Honduras—experiences he considers deeply humbling and meaningful.
Appreciated for his warm personality and uplifting sense of humor, Dr. Dinh is often told by patients that he could pursue a second career in stand-up comedy—a compliment he receives with gratitude and good humor.

Outside of the exam room, Dr. Dinh enjoys country music, fishing, hunting, woodworking, playing guitar, cooking, baking, and traveling with his wife and two daughters. He considers it a true privilege to care for the eye health of individuals and families throughout Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, and the surrounding communities, as well, he remains committed to serving with integrity, compassion, and gratitude.
